Golfplan Insurance Annual Golf Policy Claim Procedure
Golfplan Insurance provides premier comprehensive Annual Golf Insurance policies to UK Golfers. However, the acid test of any Insurance Policy is how well the insurance provider handles a valid claim. This is also the time when many cheap insurance policies can cost the policy holder dear!
At Golfplan Insurance we aim to settle our Golf Insurance Policy claims as quickly and efficiently as possible. For example, Equipment Used for Golf claims are usually settled, where possible, via a local PGA Golf Professional, within 5 working days of receiving full supporting documentation. To ensure your Golfplan Insurance claim proceeds as smoothly as possible, please follow our guidance notes below.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Golfplan Insurance can only settle a claim for lost of damaged equipment used for golf, which is listed on our computerised records, and shown on your schedule at the time of loss. It is therefore very important to ensure all items are listed at the time of applying and to notify us of Equipment/Address Changes as soon as possible by telephone, fax, email, or online. We will then issue a new Schedule of Insurance listing the total equipment insured for your own retention.
- It is also a condition of this insurance policy that you notify us of any changes to your circumstances which could affect your insurance.
- Under-Insurance. If the cost of repair or replacement of your declared equipment used for golf at the time of any loss or damage is greater than the sum insured in your schedule, any claim settlement will be reduced in the same proportion as the sum insured bears to the full cost of repairing or replacing your Equipment used for Golf.
CLAIM PROCEDURE
- To make a claim you should notify Golfplan Insurance by telephone immediately after a loss is discovered or an accident happens.
- You will be sent a claim form, which should be fully completed and returned as soon as possible together with the required supporting documentation. Your claim can then be quickly and efficiently processed.
- In all cases of theft or loss you must immediately notify a) the police and b) a golf club official before leaving the premises (if the theft took place at a golfing venue).
- As soon as your claim has been authorised replacement golf equipment will be arranged, where possible, via a local PGA Golf Professional.
- Where a policy excess is applicable, this is payable at the time of settlement.
