Golfplan Golf Insurance Policy Benefits
Although the main policy benefits are protection for Equipment used for Golf, Buggy Golf Insurance, and Public Liability Insurance, Golfplan Insurance provides a package of 9 essential golf benefits, valid anywhere worldwide.
Note: With Golfplan, although all policy benefits, including theft, loss and damage of golf equipment are available to PGA Golf Professionals, we regret that cover is excluded for loss or theft of any golf equipment from any vehicles owned or used by golf professionals or assistant golf professionals.
1. Golf Equipment, Including Buggies, Up To £10,000
Our New for Old policies replace stolen, lost or damaged golf equipment declared on your schedule with NEW equipment, regardless of your equipment age. Golf equipment is: golf clubs, golf bag, travel bags, waterproof clothing, golf shoes, umbrella, pull/electric golf trolley and petrol driven/electric golf buggies. Clubs are protected 24 hours a day for theft of equipment from a locked car boot, no matter where parked. They are also covered whilst in-flight transit overseas. Additional golf equipment valued in excess of £3,000 can be insured at £3.00 per £100. Policy Excesses: No policy excess is payable for total loss equipment claims. The first £35 for each single item/partial loss claim. Golf Buggy excess £100. Policy exclusion: Theft from vans or similar vehicles, equipment used for golf NOT listed on your policy schedule or of which Golfplan is unaware.
Our Indemnity policies provide the same level of cover; however, claims for equipment are calculated on 2nd hand values only. Additional golf equipment valued in excess of £3,000 can be insured at £2.50 per £100.
2. Personal / Public Liability Up To £5 million
Worldwide (Legal) Public Liability to third parties for bodily injury whilst playing or practicing at a golf venue. Policy Excess: The first £100 of each claim.
3. Personal Accident Up To £75,000
Bodily injury resulting in death or total and irremediable loss of sight in one or both eyes or of one or more limbs. Including £100 per day hospital benefit. (Juniors - death only cover £2,500). Policy exclusion: The first 14 days of each claim for hospital benefits.
4. Golf Club Membership Fees Up To £2,000
Re-imbursement of club membership fees following an accident or sickness rendering you unable to play golf. Policy exclusion: The first month of each claim. Not available to Senior policy holders (ie 70+ years)
5. Accidental Damage To Third Party Property Up To £2 million
Re-imbursement for repair of third party property unintentionally damaged by the policy holder whilst playing or practising golf at a golfing venue. Policy excess: The first £100 of each claim.
6. Personal Effects Up To £1,000
Theft or damage by fire of personal effects whilst in a clubhouse or professional shop. Policy excess: The first £35 of each claim.
7. Hole-In-One! Up To £300
Customary round of drinks at the golfing venue immediately following a game of golf in a recognised competition when a hole-in-one has been achieved and witnessed by your playing partner or team member. No Policy Excess
8. Equipment Used For Golf Hire Up To £200
Hire of golf equipment following loss or delay when travelling overseas. No Policy Excess
9. Golf Tournament Entry Fees Up To £250
Reimbursement of golf tournament entry fees when cancellation is due to unexpected and unforeseen sickness or accidental injury occurring up to 14 days prior to the tournament start date that renders you unable to play golf. No Policy Excess
