About The Insurer
Golfplan Insurance is underwritten by Certain Underwriters at Lloyd's. The Society of Lloyd's, Underwriters at Lloyd's and Golfplan Insurance are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
Duration of this Insurance
The period of insurance will be for 12 months unless otherwise agreed by us. The period of insurance will be shown in the schedule.
Your Right To Cancel
If you decide that you do not wish to proceed then you can cancel this insurance by writing to Golfplan Insurance within 21 days of either:
- The date you receive your policy documentation; or
- the start of the period of insurance whichever is the later. Providing you have not made any claims we will refund the premium.
How To Make A Claim Under This Insurance
Naturally we hope you won't have any accidents or misfortune, but if you do and wish to make a claim under this insurance please contact Golfplan claims department within 30 days following the incident.

- Full details of the claim

If you have any questions or concerns about your policy or the handling of a claim you should, in the first instance, contact The General Manager, Golfplan Insurance. In the event that you remain dissatisfied and wish to make a complaint, you can do so at any time by referring the matter to the Complaints Department at Lloyd's. Their address is:

Complaints that cannot be resolved by the Complaints Department may be referred to the Financial Ombudsman Service. Further details will be provided at the appropriate stage of the complaint process.
The Law Applicable To This Insurance
The parties are free to choose the law applicable to this Insurance Contract. Unless specifically agreed to the contrary this insurance shall be subject to English Law.
The Cover Available
Golfplan Insurance provides a comprehensive package to protect you against losses caused by accidents and incidents on and off the golf course, worldwide. The limits of each section and premium will be shown on your schedule of insurance according to the cover selected.
Section 1 - Golfing Equipment New for Old or Indemnity cover up to £10,000 for theft, loss or damage of declared golfing equipment including 24hr theft of equipment from cars and in-flight transit overseas. Policy excess, No excess on total loss claims, the first £35 on all other claims excluding claims in respect of self-propelled caddie carts where the excess is the first £100
Section 2 - Personal Liability up to £5 million. World-wide legal liability to third parties for bodily injury whilst playing or practising golf at a golfing venue. Policy excess, the first £100
Section 3 - Personal Accident up to £75,000. Bodily injury resulting in death or total and irremediable loss of sight in one or both eyes or of one or more limbs. Including £100/day hospital benefit. (Juniors - death only cover £2,500)
Section 4 - Golf Club Membership Fees up to £2,000. Reimbursement of club membership fees following an accident or sickness rendering you unable to play golf. Policy excess, the first month of disablement
Section 5 - Accidental Damage to Third Party Property up to £2,500.Reimbursement for repair of third party property unintentionally damaged by you whilst playing or practising golf at a golfing venue. Policy excess, the first £100
Section 6 - Personal Effects up to £1,000. Theft or damage by fire of personal effects whilst in a clubhouse or professional shop. Policy excess, the first £35
Section 7 - Hole-in-One up to £300. Reimbursement of the cost of a round of drinks at the golfing venue immediately following a game of golf in a recognised competition when a hole-in-one has been achieved.
Section 8 - Golfing Equipment Hire up to £300. Hire of golf equipment following loss or delay when travelling overseas.
Section 9 - Tournament Entry Fees up to £250. Reimbursement of golf tournament fees when cancellation is due to unexpected and unforeseen sickness or accidental injury occurring within 14 days of the tournament start date that renders you unable to play golf.

How We Settle Your Claim
Section 1 - New for Old: We will pay the cost to replace (or repair) your golfing equipment with the current equivalent equipment using a supplier of our choice.
Indemnity: We will settle your claim after allowing for wear and tear and depreciation using a supplier of our choice.
Section 2-3 - These claims are referred to and handled by underwriters.
Section 4-9 - We will reimburse the amount paid less any excesses applicable.
11. Your Total Peace Of Mind
Underwriters at Lloyd's are members of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. Further information regarding the Financial Services Compensation Scheme can be obtained at www.fscs.org.uk
