Golfplan is a premier Golf Insurance product and covers you for the following. The limits may depend on your age and the level of cover you choose:

  • Golf Equipment (incl. Golf buggies) – cover against theft, loss or equipment damaged beyond repair – cover up to £10,000 available on request.
  • Public Liability – Third party bodily injury legal liability covered as standard.
  • Personal Accident – Accidental injury or death whilst playing or practising golf.
  • Club Membership Fees – Cover if you cannot play golf for a prolonged period following an accident or illness at or away from a Golfing venue (age restrictions apply).
  • Third Party Accidental Damage – Repair or replacement of third party property damage accidentally caused by yourself playing or practising golf whilst at a golfing venue.
  • Personal Effects – Theft or fire damage to your personal effects whilst in a clubhouse.
  • Hole In One – Cost of celebratory round of drinks immediately following a recognised competition.
  • Overseas Golf Equipment Hire – Hire costs of golf equipment should your equipment be lost or delayed in transit travelling overseas, or travelling by air in the UK.
  • Tournament Entry Fees – Cover for tournament entry fees due to unforeseen illness or accidental injury up to 14 days prior.
  • 120 days Worldwide cover

With our ‘New For Old’ cover, if your equipment is stolen or damaged beyond repair, we will replace items with the current equivalent makes and models. Items must be insured at the value of the brand new current equivalent make and model.

With our ‘Market Value’ golf insurance cover, if your equipment is stolen or damaged beyond repair, we will settle your claim up to the insured amount taking into account the type, age, wear and tear and general condition at the time of the loss.

With Golfplan, your golf insurance equipment is covered 24 hours a day regardless of where your vehicle is parked. All we ask is that your car is fully locked and your golfing equipment is totally concealed in the boot or under the parcel shelf/manufacturer’s fitted cover.

Your equipment is covered whilst in-flight transit in the UK or overseas for loss or damage.

Yes, so long as your equipment was booked to travel with you, you can claim back for the costs of hire golf equipment following loss or delay when travelling overseas up to £300.

Your golf equipment is covered 24 hours a day whilst it is stored in your club locker, subject to there being visible evidence of forcible and violent entry.

Your golf equipment is covered 24 hours a day regardless of where your car is parked. All we ask is your motor vehicle is fully locked and your golfing equipment is totally concealed in the boot or under the parcel shelf/manufacturer’s fitted cover. Your golf equipment is covered 24 hours a day at home, even whilst it is kept in a locked garage.

Golf Insurance from Golfplan provides £5 million personal liability cover for accidental bodily injury to third parties whilst playing or practicing golf at a golfing venue.

Yes, you automatically get £5 million worldwide personal liability as standard for up to 120 days per policy year, so there is no need to tell us or pay an additional premium when you play abroad. In fact everything that you are insured for under your policy will be automatically insured worldwide up to 120 days!

The £5 million personal liability cover includes accidental bodily injury to members of the public.

Golfplan automatically provides you with £5 million personal liability cover for accidental bodily injury to third parties whilst driving a golf buggy at a golfing venue during a round of golf.

Our golf insurance provides cover up to £2 million for the repair of any damage you may cause accidently to someone else’s property whilst playing golf at a recognized golfing venue.

If you are under 70 our golf insurance covers the reimbursement of your club membership fees for the period you could not play, following an accident, regardless of where the incident occurs. Please note, the first months cover following an accident is excluded.

If you had a serious illness that stops you playing Golfplan will reimburse the cost of the time you could not play. Please note, the first months cover following an illness is excluded.

For customers aged 70 years plus club membership cover is excluded.

Yes you can! We will reimburse the cost of drinks at the golfing venue immediately following a game of golf in a recognised competition when a hole-in-one has been achieved by the policyholder. The limit is up to £300. Simply let us have the scorecard, written confirmation of achievement from Secretary, and receipt.

Following the loss or delay of your golfing equipment in transit travelling overseas, Golfplan will cover the cost for you to hire equipment up to £300.

Golfplan will reimburse golf tournament entry fees when cancellation is due to unexpected and unforeseen sickness or accidental injury occurring up to 14 days prior to the tournament start date that renders you unable to play golf.
