How to Make a Claim

Naturally we hope you won’t have any accidents or misfortune but you can be reassured that we are here to help if things go wrong. At Golfplan we pride ourselves on the claims service you need and expect as we firmly believe the acid test of any insurance provider is how well they deal with valid claims.

For full details of our claims procedure, please refer to your Golfplan policy wording, however here is an easy three step summary to making a claim.

Please note: In all cases of theft or loss you must immediately notify the police and if the theft took place at a golfing venue, you should also advise a golf club official before leaving the premises. You will need the Police Crime Reference Number and the Golf Club Officials details for making a claim.

Step 1

Please check your policy documentation carefully to see if you are covered for your claim. You should then call us on 0333 003 8143 as soon the loss is discovered or an accident has happened.

Step 2

Once we have initially assessed your claim, you will be sent a claim form which should be returned with any required supporting documentation. Your claim can then be quickly and efficiently processed.

Step 3

As soon as your claim has been authorised, replacement golf equipment will be arranged, where possible, via a local PGA Golf Professional. Where a policy excess is applicable, this is payable at the time of settlement.

Important Information

  • Claims must be notified to us within 30 days of discovery of the incident.
  • Golfplan can only settle a claim for lost or damaged equipment used for golf, which is listed on our computerised records, and shown on your schedule at the time of loss. It is therefore very important to ensure all items are listed at the time of applying and to notify us of Equipment/Address Changes as soon as possible preferably by telephone, email, or online. We will then issue a new Schedule of Insurance listing the total equipment insured for your own retention.
